The CSC, in cooperation with donors from the Charity Forum Committee, succeeded in turning the suffering of a family of seven into a story of hope and stability. This was achieved through an integrated project to expand, build, and complete their home in the village of Ammouriya, creating a moving humanitarian effort that reflects the highest values of solidarity.
The family, consisting of a couple and five children, had been living in harsh conditions in a rented house in the city of Nablus. Burdened by debts and mounting obligations, they received an eviction notice with only one month to vacate. With few options, the family moved to an unfinished house in Ammouriya, which was little more than a cement structure with incomplete external walls and lacking even the most basic necessities for a decent life.
Faced with this urgent situation, the CSC intervened, drawing on its prior knowledge of the family’s circumstances to begin the process of restoring hope. The project involved completing the construction of the external and internal walls, carrying out interior and exterior plastering, and installing electrical and water systems along with a sewage network to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
This intervention was more than just reconstruction. It represented a profound transformation in the family’s life, moving them from instability and fear to an independent home that provides privacy, comfort, and psychological balance. The children, who were most affected by the crisis, especially benefited from the sense of security and normalcy the home now provides.
The CSC emphasizes that this initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to support less fortunate families and provide decent housing that preserves human dignity. Improving living conditions remains a cornerstone for building a more cohesive and stable society.
