The case of an elderly woman, (Kh. N.), who had been living in extremely inhumane conditions, was addressed through cooperation and coordination with the Directorate of Social Affairs and with the support of the camp services committee. She had been residing in a single room that resembled an animal pen, even sharing the space with animals. Her physical and psychological condition was deeply concerning, and she was suffering from hunger and dehydration. She was transferred to the Red Crescent Society for care and support. Within days, her condition improved significantly. She appeared healthier, more stable, and was even seen smiling, reflecting a remarkable transformation in her well being.
Another case involves Mrs. (N.M.), a widow from a village near Nablus who is the sole provider for her only daughter, a high achieving university student. The family lives in a modest one room home that suffers from serious structural issues, including water leaks and deteriorating metal roofing over the kitchen and bathroom. Both spaces lacked even the most basic sanitary conditions suitable for safe living. Through the Housing Rehabilitation Program and in cooperation with charitable donors, including support mobilized by a university student from the same village, construction began on a new room for the family. Work is currently underway to complete the new room and build a proper, hygienic kitchen and bathroom within the existing structure.
The third case concerns a seventh grade student, referred to as (A), who was experiencing severe family problems. He had been subjected to physical abuse by both parents, including being struck with sharp objects. Although he had strong academic potential, the abuse caused him to fall behind in school. In response, he began displaying aggressive and defiant behavior at home, which further escalated the violence against him. Following the intervention of the CSC through the Community Support Education Program, and in cooperation with the school principal, his situation improved significantly. He now lives in a more stable environment characterized by dialogue, understanding, and a greater sense of security. His academic performance has also stabilized, reflecting the positive impact of the intervention.
