The center organized a recreational gathering in which 65 orphan boys and girls participated, in a meeting that took on a warm family atmosphere, filled with smiles, interaction, and joy. This was done by hosting the children at the home of one of the women from the “Goodness Forum for Children,” with the aim of giving the children space for joy, play, and interaction in a warm family environment.
The gathering included a set of cultural competitions and physical games that gave the children the opportunity to interact, participate, and release their energy in an atmosphere full of fun, in addition to serving a lunch meal and traditional sweets, before concluding the activity by distributing a symbolic gift to all participants.
Such activities acquire particular importance in light of the difficult economic conditions that deprive many families of providing even the simplest forms of entertainment for their children; what may seem like a simple activity in its details can have a profound impact on a child’s soul, giving them a sense of care, belonging, and joy, and reflecting positively on their psychological state and on their family.
The gift may be small, the meal simple, and the hours of the gathering limited, but the impact of a moment in which an orphan child feels celebrated, loved, and cared for may remain in their memory for a long time.
