After two months of cold winter days and the Al-Murabbaqah period, the meeting with the elderly took place on a beautiful spring day with warm sunshine. The elderly guests were welcomed at Al-Amaken Restaurant, enjoying generous hospitality, and expressed great enthusiasm for the gathering.
The meeting opened with a speech by Rajaa Al-Bawab, Coordinator of the Elderly Program. It began with a moment of sorrow and mourning for the late Dr. Inaam Al-Khashshi, a generous woman and a devoted member of the Al-Khair Forum who passed away 20 days earlier. Dr. Al-Khashshi was celebrated for her humanity and boundless giving. Al-Fatiha was recited for her soul, and Hajj Abu Ghazi delivered a eulogy, leaving a deep impact on the elderly attendees.
The activity included motivational games, competitions, and a playful atmosphere led by volunteer Fatima Al-Masri. Guests also enjoyed a hot meal, juice, and sweets during the event.
At the conclusion of the meeting, CSC Director Mr. Bilal Salama thanked the Al-Khair Forum volunteers and their supporters, as well as the program coordinator. He honored the memory of Dr. Inaam Al-Khashshi, whose spirit was present through her financial contributions to community activities for the elderly.
Mr. Salama also presented a card of appreciation to the management of Al-Amaken Restaurant and to Alaa Abu Shahab, who generously donated funds contributed by the Al-Khair Forum Committee to support cancer patients at An-Najah National University Hospital.
