During the third quarter of this year, the Housing Rehabilitation Program completed the rehabilitation of nine homes for low-income families—six in villages within the Nablus governorate and three in the city of Nablus. Four of these cases involved families headed by women. Among these, three success stories stand out:

1. (A.M.) A.M. is a widow supporting a family of ten. They were living in a modest home that lacked the minimum health standards necessary for a decent life. In partnership with local charitable organizations, the program fully renovated the house, including the kitchen and bathroom, replaced damaged windows, and painted the entire home.

2. (A.S.) This family consists of a father with a mental disability, a mother, and their daughter, who suffers from obesity. Their home lacked proper ventilation and did not have a septic tank, resulting in foul odors inside. The program addressed the ventilation problem by installing new windows in the walls and rooms, while continuing to coordinate with the municipality to resolve the sanitation issues.

3. (A.C.) This family, consisting of a father, mother, and four children, lived in a single-room house with a kitchen and bathroom, suffering from poor ventilation. Through the support of volunteers and local benefactors in partnership with the Service Center, the room was fully

renovated. New windows were installed to improve airflow, floors and walls were tiled, the kitchen and bathroom were upgraded, and a plasterboard partition was added to create functional separation within the living space.

Engineer Osama Bani Odeh, coordinator of the Housing Rehabilitation Program, highlighted these cases as examples of successful interventions resulting from the concerted efforts of the center and its staff. He emphasized that these efforts reflect the social responsibility of An-Najah National University in addressing social issues, in partnership with local authorities and volunteers.

Mr. Mohammad Al-Jitan, social worker at the center, expressed his gratitude to all contributors. This included both donors and volunteers who helped raise the health and living
