The CSC places great importance on the environment by implementing a variety of environmental campaigns. These campaigns are organized periodically, either independently by CSC volunteers and Community Service course students or in partnership with relevant governmental and non-governmental institutions. They focus on public areas that directly benefit citizens, such as parks, gardens, cemeteries, streets, and public squares. They also target the yards and facilities of schools, hospitals, and charitable organizations.

The nature of the campaigns varies according to the needs and priorities of each area. The main types of campaigns are:

Tree Planting Campaign

Guided by the motto “If any of you has a sapling, let him plant it,” An-Najah National University launched a comprehensive tree planting campaign in Nablus Governorate in the fall of 2024, supervised and implemented by the CSC. The campaign involved planting trees in the gardens of associations, institutions, schools, and public facilities, as well as in spaces between residential buildings where water sources are available. The campaign aims to highlight the religious, national, and economic value of planting, increase greenery, and create a positive and lasting environmental impact that improves the quality of life.

Cleanliness Campaign

Cleanliness campaigns focus on cleaning and rehabilitating public areas by removing waste, solid debris, and construction materials. These efforts improve the appearance of parks, gardens, cemeteries, institution yards, schools, and other public facilities. The campaigns also promote a culture of cleanliness and raise community awareness of its direct impact on health and safety.

Street Organization Campaign

Street organization campaigns aim to improve the urban landscape by maintaining sidewalks, medians, and pedestrian crossings. This includes cleaning, repainting with approved colors, removing encroachments, and trimming surrounding trees.
