Financial & In-Kind Support
Interest-Free Small Projects Fund for Low-Income Families
An-Najah National University runs a dedicated fund that finances small, income-
generating projects for low-income individuals and families. The fund helps them start
sustainable livelihoods such as greenhouses for agriculture, sewing workshops for
women, bakeries, and small grocery shops.
The financing works as a 5-year interest-free loan. Once the project is up and running,
the beneficiary pays back the original amount after five years, with no interest or extra
fees. Repaid money goes back into the fund so it can support new beneficiaries, and the fund keeps growing as a resource for the community.
Business relevance: The fund gives people with limited resources access to startup
capital without the burden of interest. It turns small ideas into stable sources of income,
strengthens women’s economic participation, and contributes to poverty reduction and local economic development.
Responsible authorities:
- Community Service Center: Manages the fund: receives applications, assesses
eligibility, and follows up with beneficiaries until their projects are stable.
- InnoPark: Provides technical support to beneficiaries, including project planning, training, and business mentoring
- Donors & Partner Institutions: Contribute financial and in-kind resources that grow the fund and extend its reach to more families
