The Social Development Directorate in Nablus, in cooperation with the Community Service Center and a local philanthropist, has restored three homes for beneficiaries from poor and marginalized groups.

Amr Al-Agbar, a social worker at the Directorate, stated that “this restoration project is one of the Directorate’s priorities in rehabilitating the homes of the poor and most vulnerable, and work is ongoing to renovate additional houses.”

Mohammed Basharat, Director of the Social Development Directorate, expressed his appreciation for this achievement and extended his gratitude to the Community Service Center, the benefactors, and the local community.

 


Basharat emphasized that these interventions help poor families live in dignity and form part of the ministry’s new approach to supporting impoverished households in line with the multidimensional poverty management system.

In the same context, Yatta Development Director Lubna Al-Anani met with Rawda Abu Al-Halawa from the Gender Unit of the National Security Agency and Hamid Qawasmeh from the United Nations Development Programme, in the presence of the deputy director and professional advisor to the Directorate. They discussed coordination mechanisms for renovating the homes of poor families in Yatta and providing them with their basic needs through collaboration with all partners and benefactors.

Al-Anani confirmed that work is currently underway to renovate the home of a marginalized family living in difficult conditions in the Beit Amra area and that efforts are being made to identify and support other homes in need of assistance.

 

The Ramallah Development Directorate, in partnership with the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate and the Directorate of Education, distributed school bags to three schools: Amin Al-Husseini Elementary School, Al-Bireh New Secondary School for Boys, and Ein Manjed Upper Elementary School for Boys.

The Deputy Director of the Ramallah Development Directorate, Salim Odeh, along with the vocational counselor, participated in the distribution.
