A woman supporting a family of seven lives in a modest home on the third floor of an old building in Askar Camp. The house consists of two rooms with basic amenities, along with a newly built section that includes an unfinished bathroom and an additional room. The existing toilet was small and suffered from leakage that affected the neighbors’ roof, as well as drainage issues.

Through funding provided by a member of the Multaqa Al-Khair Volunteer Committee, the Housing Rehabilitation Program renovated the toilet, repaired the leakage, and installed a new water tank to replace the old, insufficient one. In addition, the program completed and equipped another bathroom to better meet the needs of the large family.

This intervention significantly improved the family’s living conditions. The renovation of the old toilet resolved a long-standing sanitation problem, while the operation of the new bathroom addressed the family’s urgent need for adequate facilities. As a result, both the health and social circumstances of the household have noticeably improved.
