The Housing Rehabilitation Program of the Community Service Center, in partnership with the Community Committee Association in Nablus Governorate, completed the finishing and rehabilitation of two adjacent warehouses owned by a needy family, turning them into suitable housing for two families headed by two women, who were living in a small and modest house. The two warehouses were finished and rehabilitated into a small apartment consisting of two rooms, a salon, a kitchen and a bathroom, so that these two families will live in a healthy and suitable home for them.

The rehabilitation work included opening additional windows on the existing warehouses, closing the gates of the two warehouses, opening a main door from one of them, building brick partitions to separate the two rooms from each other, building a new bathroom, installing a kitchen sink, rehabilitating the entire electrical network, creating a plumbing network in the kitchen and bathroom, in addition to tiling in the bathroom and painting the entire house.

Engineer Osama Bani Odeh noted that the finishing and rehabilitation work has moved the two
families from the overcrowded family home to a suitable home, which will reflect positively on the
psychological and social situation of the two families and their children, as mentioned by Mr.
Mohammed Jaitan, a social worker at the center. This comes within the pursuit of achieving the
Sustainable Development Goals, including improving housing conditions for marginalized or
disadvantaged groups.
