The Community Service Center, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Nablus, organized an environmental and agricultural volunteer day at Beit Furik Secondary School for Boys. This initiative is part of the university-led environmental and agricultural campaign, which aims to promote environmental awareness and instill sustainable development concepts among school students.

The activity included an agricultural component, with the planting of 90 trees, including 55 olive trees and 35 forest cypress trees. This effort contributed to enhancing green spaces within the school grounds and highlighted the role of students as active participants in protecting the environment and fostering positive environmental behavior.

The volunteer day began with an awareness session that addressed the importance of public hygiene, environmental preservation, the value of agriculture, and caring for the land. It also emphasized the national and religious symbolism of the olive tree and its role in promoting a sense of belonging and identity.

Students actively participated in various activities, including cleaning the school’s surroundings and removing waste from the back garden, reflecting a strong spirit of social responsibility and attachment to their school environment.
