Students enrolled in the community service course continued the home tree planting campaign during the summer semester of 2024–2025. In total, students planted 90 fruit trees, including almond and citrus, in the gardens of their homes across various cities and villages throughout the country.
The campaign aims to strengthen students’ connection to the land and encourage an interest in agriculture. As part of the community service and sustainable development course requirements, students documented the planting process through videos. The campaign focuses on planting both fruit and forest trees to provide future sources of food and to enhance environmental security.
The campaign was first launched last fall, when 337 trees were planted in schoolyards and public institutions, along with 425 fruit trees planted by students in their home gardens. Since its start, a total of 762 trees have been planted in locations with access to water.
This initiative reflects a broader vision to promote environmental protection and to spread a culture of tree planting in public and private institutions alike. It also contributes to community service efforts and supports the achievement of sustainable development goals.
