The Community Service Center organized a psychological and recreational support activity targeting 50 orphaned children accompanied by their mothers. The “La La Land” amusement park in Nablus hosted the event’s activities, offering full free hosting for the children and their mothers, in a community initiative that reflected the values of human responsibility and community partnership. The Community Service Center also provided lunch for the participants, with generous support from the “Ala Kaifak” restaurant, which donated half the value of the meals as its contribution to the success of this humanitarian day.

The children took part in a wide range of recreational and educational activities and games, including electronic games, jumping games, intelligence games, and motor skills games, in an atmosphere full of energy and fun that helped bring joy to the children and enhance their sense of security. The activity contributed to giving the children an opportunity to relax, reduce psychological stress, and provide them with feelings of happiness and joy after hours of play and positive interaction.

This activity comes within the Orphan Sponsorship Program that the center has supervised since its establishment in 1999, and is an extension of the psychological and social support activities that the center continuously implements with various community groups, including orphans, widows, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and women, stemming from its belief in the importance of psychological support as an essential part of sustainable community development.

This activity embodies the message of An-Najah National University in serving the community, consolidating the values of social responsibility, and strengthening partnerships with private sector institutions and humanitarian initiative leaders, in a way that contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, supporting the most vulnerable groups, and building a more cohesive and cooperative society.
