In a space that brought together play, interaction, and free expression, An-Najah National University offered around 200 boys and girls from the town of Qusin an opportunity to relieve psychological pressure and restore a sense of childhood. This was done through an activity held in the Gardens Hall in Qusin, organized by the Community Service Center, the An-Najah Childhood Institute, and the Palestinian Center for Childhood Policies, in partnership with the Qusin Village Council.
The activity included interactive and recreational stations featuring clown and puppet shows, a comedic scene, and segments of magic tricks in cooperation with the Palestinian Circus School, in addition to group games, singing, dancing, and traditional Palestinian songs.
The segments went beyond the goal of entertainment, as they provided children with a safe space to express their feelings and release their emotions through movement, play, and communication, in light of the political and field pressures that affect their daily lives and the limited opportunities available to them to participate in activities that support their psychological and social well-being.
This activity comes as part of efforts aimed at enhancing children’s sense of safety, providing an environment that takes into account their psychological and emotional needs, and giving them the opportunity to interact and restore an atmosphere of joy and play away from fear and tension.
