The CSC at An-Najah National University, in collaboration with the Multaqa Al-Khair Committee and with the generous support of a benefactor, organized a heartwarming activity to provide psychological support and recreational relief for the twenty elderly residents of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society’s nursing home in Nablus.
The event, held in an atmosphere filled with love and compassion, featured engaging discussion sessions in which organizers listened to the residents’ rich life stories and personal experiences. The day was filled with warmth and nostalgia, as the elderly shared memories and joined in singing traditional Palestinian folk songs that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Participants also enjoyed a traditional Palestinian lunch of mashkan, in celebration of the olive harvest season, followed by authentic Nabulsi kunafa. The festivities and food were enjoyed in a friendly, family-like atmosphere.
The organizers, reflecting on the success of the event held on Monday, October 27, 2025, emphasized that its purpose was to bring joy to the elderly and strengthen their sense of belonging and care. This initiative aligns with the CSC’s mission and programs that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with particular attention to supporting and caring for the most vulnerable members of society.
