Our monthly meeting with the elderly was held on a bright spring day in the beautiful village of Sebastia, hosted by the Holy Lands Restaurant. Contests and recreational activities created an atmosphere of joy, with everyone eager to participate in the stimulating games. Amid the shade of trees and colorful spring flowers, each elderly participant planted rose seedlings, filling their faces with delight as they held their own plants.
Guests then enjoyed a hot lunch of zarb, infused with the aroma of the village and fruit trees, accompanied by sweets and refreshments. During the meal, Manal Al-Zoubi, a member of the Good Forum Committee, delivered a lecture on noble ethics and the example of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
At the conclusion of the event, gifts were distributed in the form of glass plates containing nutritious dried fruits and nuts, including raisins, walnuts, apricots, and dried figs.
Rajaa Al-Bawab, Coordinator of the Elderly Program, welcomed the attendees and presented certificates of appreciation to the volunteers of the Good Forum Committee, the Hands of Goodness and Giving. Their role extends beyond financial support; they also handle all preparations, including purchasing supplies, preparing gifts, and coordinating with supporting institutions to ensure the success of these activities.
