The Medical Relief and Community Service Center concluded a training course in first aid and emergencies, targeting 42 male and female students from the Community Service course. The training program included dealing with heart attacks and cases of loss of consciousness, head, neck, and spinal injuries, methods of controlling bleeding and dealing with fractures, in addition to how to deal with airway obstruction by foreign bodies, in a way that enhances participants’ ability to provide initial response to accidents and emergency cases.

The course was organized by the Community Youth Training Center – Nablus, affiliated with the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, and the Community Service Center, with the participation of students from the Community Service course. The course lasted over four sessions, at a rate of four hours per session. Specialized paramedics from the Community Youth Training Center supervised the training.

At the end of the course, participants took a theoretical test aimed at assessing the extent to which they had absorbed the information and skills they received during the training, and determining the level of their benefit from the topics covered by the program.

The course aimed to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills needed to deal with emergency cases, and to enhance their readiness for primary intervention in a conscious and responsible manner until the arrival of specialized medical teams, thereby contributing to the dissemination of a first-aid culture and the reinforcement of the role of youth in promoting community safety.
