The Community Service Center installed iron umbrellas for the students of Al-Quds Mixed School in Nablus with two main objectives: first, to provide shaded and healthy outdoor areas for students, and second, to create an interactive space outside the classroom. This area allows the school’s educational counselor, who has a motor disability that limits her ability to conduct activities indoors, to hold educational guidance sessions which is an essential need for the students.

This initiative was made possible through a contribution from a member of the Al-Khair Forum Committee, as part of the Center’s ongoing efforts to improve the learning environment for the 353 students at Al-Quds Mixed School. The Center prioritizes supporting schools that are most underserved. Al-Quds Mixed School is located at the end of Al-Quds Street near the Huwwara checkpoint, between Balata Camp and the villages of Rojib and Kafr Qalil. Students there often face psychological stress due to the surrounding political and security conditions.
