The Housing Rehabilitation Program works to provide healthier living conditions by rehabilitating the homes of impoverished families, making them more suitable for safe and dignified human habitation. It also offers technical and engineering consultations to individuals and organizations. The program primarily serves low income families, especially those that include elderly or persons with disabilities, as well as families with children. Through these efforts, the CSC seeks to improve living conditions and create a humane environment that helps families overcome daily life challenges.
Implementation varies according to the specific needs of each home. Interventions may include rebuilding or improving kitchens and sanitary units, enhancing ventilation, repairing or installing doors and windows, and installing assistive devices for persons with disabilities and the elderly, such as medical supports, entrance ramps, and adapting bathrooms to meet their needs.
