The CSC completed the rehabilitation of a home for a family living in extremely difficult conditions in the city of Nablus. The project aimed to improve the family’s living conditions by creating a safer and more dignified environment for its eight members, as part of the CSC’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support vulnerable families.

The mother is solely responsible for caring for her seven children following the father’s absence. The family had been living in a modest home that lacked the basic conditions necessary for a safe and healthy life. Dampness had spread throughout the house, leaving the walls covered in black mold, while the interior doors were severely deteriorated and the children’s beds were heavily damaged, creating additional safety concerns within the home.

In response to these urgent needs, the CSC carried out comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation work that included repainting the entire house, treating dampness and repairing damaged walls, restoring and replacing doors where needed, and rehabilitating the children’s beds to provide a more stable and comfortable living environment.

This intervention came at a particularly difficult time for the family, as they continue to face severe economic hardship following the loss of their primary source of income after the father’s absence. Despite limited opportunities, the eldest son works whenever possible to help support the family and ease some of their financial burden.

The CSC contributed 3,000 shekels toward the project, and all rehabilitation work was implemented according to carefully planned technical standards within the housing improvement and rehabilitation program. The initiative aimed not only to improve the physical condition of the home, but also to restore a sense of safety, dignity, and stability for the family during a time of significant hardship.
