The University’s CSC implemented an environmental and agricultural initiative at Beisan Basic Girls’ School in Nablus. The initiative featured the active participation of the school’s Girl Scouts, who worked together to clean the school’s backyard and plant ten olive trees within the school grounds. This collective effort reflected strong values of cooperation and shared responsibility, contributing to an improved school environment and the expansion of green spaces.
This initiative is part of a broader university campaign aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental protection within the local community, while also strengthening environmental awareness and fostering a culture of volunteerism.
Through such initiatives, the CSC seeks to engage students in hands-on activities that serve both the environment and society. These efforts encourage initiative and a sense of belonging, instill the values of active citizenship, and promote positive environmental behavior through practical programs that support the preservation of natural resources and enhance quality of life.
The initiative also represents a key component of a series of environmental activities planned for the next phase. These activities will include field visits to public parks and underutilized lands, with the goal of expanding green spaces and establishing a lasting culture of environmental conservation among different segments of society.
