
The community service center at An Najah National University published its report for the second semester 2024-2025, which included humanitarian aid and following up on the students of the community service course, with a donation of 507897 shekels.
As for the humanitarian aid that relates to financial aid and in-kind assistance case, Housing Rehabilitation for poor families, and implementing community activities and initiatives, the center provided 267436 shekels, that were distributed as regular assistance to 352 cases, including orphans’ sponsorships, support for social cases, providing food parcels and bread, in addition to helping with the costs of medications and medical tests, covering physiotherapy fees, contributions for autism cases, and providing diapers for the elderly and people with disabilities.
In housing rehabilitation, 4 houses for poor people and 1 Mortuary washing room in Rafedia hospital were rehabilitated, the maintenance of a children’s park in the Old City and finally implementing 7 mental-support activities for 850 elderly, sick, or orphaned individuals.

Lastly, for the students at the university, the community service center provided student loans and scholarships for 237 students who needed them at a cost of 240461 shekels. It implemented 3 courses in civil defense, freelance work, and taking care of elderly people for 71 volunteers. For the community service and sustainable development course, 1063 students enrolled in the course, 754 of them volunteered in 187 community organizations for 31890 hours, 750 students donated 1341 units of blood distributed among 15 hospitals across the country, 333 of them sponsored orphans and donated with charity cards, 92 students participated in seven field-work days. finally, 170 students planted 208 trees in their house’s gardens as part of the afforestation campaign launched by the university in October 2024.
By publishing this report the community service center aims to emphasize the responsibility of implementing the goals of the sustainable development for the community by An Najah National University, and to encourage the volunteers and donors to join the activities of the community service center and its various services (financially, in-kind, or morally) to continue helping those in need.
