During the 2024–2025 academic year, the Community Service Center distributed 3,480 kilograms of bread, valued at 12,180 shekels, to support needy families. This initiative ensured that ten families received bread daily throughout the year. It was carried out as part of the center’s efforts to combat poverty and hunger, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, and as an expression of An-Najah National University’s commitment to social responsibility and community cohesion.

The center views providing bread to those in need as an essential charitable act, aimed at guaranteeing a basic source of nourishment and ensuring that vulnerable families have access to daily sustenance. Such support is made possible through contributions from both individuals and institutions.

For more than ten years, the Community Service Center has maintained this initiative with three key objectives: to strengthen social solidarity, to encourage donors to contribute through the provision of bread, and to highlight bread as one of the most meaningful and blessed forms of charity. This act of giving is deeply rooted in verses of the Qur’an and sayings of the Prophet that emphasize the importance of feeding and caring for the poor and needy.
