The monthly “Golden Age Forum” for seniors enrolled in the Community Service Center program, along with their friends, was held in March to mark Mother’s Day. It was a day to honor our mothers and fathers, a day unlike any other, filled with love, appreciation, and gratitude for the boundless generosity of those who have dedicated their lives to bringing happiness to others. It is only right to show humility before such a legacy of giving.

The event was made possible through the support of the Good Deeds Volunteer Committee at the Community Service Center and was hosted at the Holy Land Restaurant in Sebastia on a warm spring day. The celebration included competitions, prizes, entertaining performances, poetry recitals, and religious sermons. These activities were interspersed with a shared meal of mashkan and dessert, as well as discussions about important moral values such as tolerance and cooperation.

The gathering brought together 120 attendees, including seniors and volunteers. More than 100 seniors currently enrolled in the center’s program were present, along with their friends from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and the Social and Cultural Association.

During the celebration, and with the initiative of the Multaqa Al-Khair Committee, the center’s elderly program coordinator, Raja Al-Bawab, was honored. The director of the Community Service Center, Mr. Bilal Salama, expressed his gratitude to the Multaqa Al-Khair Committee for this recognition and for their ongoing generosity and sincere commitment to both the center and humanitarian work.

He also extended his congratulations to the seniors and to all participating institutions, including the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Red Crescent, and the Social and Cultural Association.
