As part of its commitment to community service, the CSC carried out an environmental activity at Azmut Primary and Secondary Girls’ Schools. The initiative saw wide participation from students and teachers, contributing to revitalizing the school environment with renewed cleanliness and beauty.
The activity included a comprehensive cleaning campaign of the school yards and waste collection, followed by the planting of fifteen olive trees in the school gardens. This step aims to create a healthy educational environment and encourage students to care for public spaces.
The event began with an awareness lecture delivered by the center’s team. The lecture highlighted the importance of environmental protection and the value of planting trees. It also emphasized the cultural and economic significance of the olive tree, along with the educational, health, and environmental benefits the school can gain by caring for the newly planted trees.
This initiative is part of the agricultural campaign launched by the university to expand green spaces and raise students’ awareness of sound environmental practices. The campaign supports sustainable development goals and contributes to reducing the effects of climate change.
The center confirmed that the campaign will continue in the coming period to include additional schools and governmental sites. This step is part of a wider vision to strengthen environmental sustainability and promote a culture of caring for trees and nature, which will have a positive impact on the community and future generations.
