The Community Service Center provided monthly support to nearly sixty disabled and elderly individuals throughout 2025 by distributing sanitary pads. These sixty silent stories represent families from 12 villages in the Nablus Governorate, the city of Nablus, and 14 residents of the Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa) Convent. While the initiative may seem simple, it addresses a daily need that many endure with burden and embarrassment, often hidden to preserve their dignity.

In total, the center distributed 1,850 packs of sanitary pads for the elderly and 500 packs for children during the year. This ongoing effort was made possible through the CSC Fund, supported by students in the Community Service course via the “Goodness Notebooks” initiative, as well as contributions from the Goodness Forum Committee and the local community. The center continues to appeal to the local community, private sector, individuals, and institutions to strengthen partnerships in this humanitarian work amid growing needs and limited resources.

Many disabled and elderly individuals live in quiet suffering, not only due to their difficult circumstances but also because some essential needs carry a social sensitivity that compels them to remain silent. Sanitary pads, though seemingly simple, can become a psychological burden, as requesting them may expose a vulnerability many prefer to conceal.

This initiative continues a humanitarian journey spanning more than a quarter of a century, during which CSC has upheld the belief that true solidarity begins with respecting silent needs, and that meaningful giving does not require recognition.

These efforts reflect the center’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in combating poverty and supporting marginalized groups, emphasizing that human dignity and daily quality of life must not be postponed or forgotten, especially for those accustomed to bearing their pain in silence.
