The Housing Rehabilitation Program at the Community Service and Continuing Education Center has successfully completed the renovation of several homes for needy families in Nablus and nearby villages. These achievements were made possible through the dedicated efforts of the center’s staff and volunteers. Funding was provided by the Multaqa Al-Khair Fund, supported by generous donors and the proceeds from charity cards sold by students enrolled in the community service course.

One of the most notable projects involved the completion of a new home for a family in Asira al-Shamaliya. The program collaborated with the town’s local community initiatives, which are supervised by the Community Service Center as part of a network spanning several towns and villages. The program specifically contributed to tiling and aluminum work, while Ayadi Al-Khair, in cooperation with the Asira al-Shamaliya municipality, provided additional support. This family had been living in a rented house that was unsuitable for them and their children, and the new home now offers them safe and dignified living conditions.

In another project, the program renovated the kitchen and bathroom of an elderly woman living with her daughters in the Al-Habla neighborhood in the old town of Nablus. The work included plumbing repairs, tiling, and adjustments to the bathroom to accommodate her health needs, improving her quality of life and safety.

Engineer Osama Bani Odeh, coordinator of the Housing Rehabilitation Program, expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed, whether through financial donations or moral support. He emphasized that the local community’s energy and charitable contributions are invaluable. Engineer Bani Odeh added that investing in and supporting families living in difficult housing conditions is essential, as adequate housing is a fundamental human right. Society has a responsibility to ensure that all families live in safe and dignified homes.
