Marking a quarter century of humanitarian work, the CSC at An-Najah National University continues to support elderly individuals and people with disabilities from low-income families by providing essential sanitary pads. This support also extends to residents of various care homes. The initiative reflects the center’s strong commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to promoting human solidarity within Palestinian society.
In its latest report, the CSC stated that this project aligns with its efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to reducing poverty and supporting marginalized groups. The center emphasized that sanitary pads are a basic need for many individuals who cannot afford them despite their daily necessity.
The CSC noted that the continued success of this program is made possible through the cooperation of individuals and donor organizations. It also called on the local community and private sector to contribute to this charitable effort, especially as the number of people in need continues to grow beyond the center’s current capacity.
The report concluded by affirming that supporting the elderly and people with disabilities is not simply a charitable act. It is a humanitarian responsibility that embodies the values of compassion and solidarity that define Palestinian society.
