CSC, in cooperation with the administration of Salem Secondary School for Girls, organized a field environmental activity aimed at improving the school environment and raising students’ awareness about environmental conservation.
The activity began on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, with an awareness session on the importance of agriculture and environmental protection. The session highlighted the economic and environmental benefits of olive trees and discussed ways to utilize them in the future.
Following the session, participants cleaned the schoolyard, collected waste, and planted 25 olive trees in the school garden to enhance green spaces and improve air quality.
This activity is part of a larger campaign launched by the University of Agriculture, which aims to expand green spaces and protect the environment in line with sustainable development goals—particularly the conservation of wildlife and addressing the challenges of climate change.
The campaign continues through field visits to treeless public lands and school gardens, promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a clean and healthy environment for future generations.
