Ibn Sina Elementary School for Girls witnessed the continuation of environmental and agricultural efforts through an initiative organized by the CSC. Fifteen volunteers from the community service course participated, alongside a group of eighth- and ninth-grade students and students from the American Academy. During the activity, the school grounds were transformed into an active workspace, where tasks were divided among participants, including site cleaning, planting olive trees, and planting a variety of flower seedlings. The effort reflected a strong spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

This activity builds on a broader program that began in mid-January, which included planting 30 olive trees and addressing several environmental challenges at the school. These efforts involved resolving wastewater issues, cleaning boundary walls, and rehabilitating the backyard, which had previously posed both environmental and health concerns for students.

Eleventh-grade students from the American Academy also took part in the event as part of a volunteer program implemented in partnership with the CSC. The program focuses on promoting environmental awareness and strengthening students’ sense of initiative and commitment to volunteer work.

The CSC emphasized that the initiative goes beyond improving the physical environment. It represents an investment in the quality of school life and the psychological well-being of students, particularly in a historic building that is over one hundred years old. The center affirmed that a healthy educational environment is a fundamental right that includes safety, cleanliness, and dignity.

The activity also drew the attention of passersby, many of whom engaged with the initiative. Some shared memories from their time at the school, while others reflected on childhood experiences connected to its surroundings.

The CSC plans to continue its work in the coming days to complete the rehabilitation of the remaining facilities and further expand green spaces, while preserving the historical character of the site and enhancing its long-term sustainability.
