With the participation of 506 students from the Community Service course, representing various disciplines, faculties, and diverse backgrounds, the garden adjacent to the playgrounds on the old campus was cleaned, rehabilitated, and planted. Over 21 days of volunteer work, a total of 7,540 hours were contributed across the first and second semesters of the 2024–2025 academic year.
The process began with clearing the area of dirt, weeds, and stones. The land was then plowed manually to prepare it for cultivation, after which students planted wheat, chickpeas, peas, potatoes, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, and fava beans. The crops were later harvested and distributed among the volunteers.

The Community Service Center emphasizes that the value of such work goes beyond agricultural production. It fosters agricultural awareness and education by strengthening the connection to the land, while also reinforcing the religious and national values that encourage preservation and care for it.
The Center further believes in the importance of fieldwork in shaping a generation capable of transforming ideas into projects that help communities remain rooted in their land, rely on local production, conserve natural resources, and promote cooperation and community participation through volunteer initiatives.

As part of this vision, An-Najah National University has also launched a tree planting campaign to raise environmental awareness, which is an essential pillar of environmental action. In cooperation with government and local authorities, the university aims to expand green spaces, enhance sustainability, and instill a sense of community responsibility by providing hands-on volunteer opportunities that contribute to the protection and preservation of the local environment.
