The Community Service Center at An-Najah National University, in collaboration with the Ladies of the Philanthropy Forum Committee, organized a special gathering for elderly individuals enrolled in the Elderly Care Program. The event took place at Al-Thuraya Center for Persons with Disabilities, under the Ministry of Social Development, and celebrated the rich traditions of Palestinian culture.

In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the gathering brought together 50 grandparents, offering a space filled with love and generosity. Marking the end of the olive harvesting season, attendees enjoyed a traditional Palestinian musakhan meal, thoughtfully prepared by the Ladies of the Philanthropy Forum Committee.

The event featured a theatrical segment that reminisced about life in the homeland before the Nakba, evoking memories and fostering hope for return. The meeting concluded with the distribution of olive oil, symbolizing a connection to heritage and the resilience of the Palestinian people.

The Community Service Center’s Elderly Care Program supports approximately 120 elderly individuals throughout the year, providing vital health and food services. This gathering reflects the Center’s ongoing commitment to honoring the elderly and preserving Palestinian traditions while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
