The Community Service Center has cleaned and rehabilitated the northern area adjacent to An-Najah National University Hospital, and planted 80 forest seedlings. The cleaning work covered an area of approximately 1000 square meters of rocky mountainous terrain, and included the removal of dry and thorny weeds and harmful plants, in addition to preparing the site by digging 80 pits for planting forest trees, which included pine, cypress, and eucalyptus, contributing to strengthening the vegetation cover and improving the environmental landscape around the hospital.

This operation represents the first phase of the plan to green the northern area of the hospital, which will include planting trees on both sides of the new back road, to provide a calm environment and a healthy outlet for patients and their companions.

The Center also established a drip irrigation network serving all the planted seedlings, supported by two water tanks and a water pump, ensuring regular watering of the trees and preserving them throughout their growth stages.

This initiative comes within the environmental campaign and afforestation campaign implemented by the Community Service Center on behalf of An-Najah National University, aimed at increasing green areas and beautifying public facilities, parks, recreational areas, and streets, and strengthening the culture of environmental preservation.

Since the launch of the campaign, the Center has managed to plant more than 2700 fruit-bearing and forest seedlings in various locations, and the campaign continues with the goal of reaching around 3000 trees.
