The Community Service Center at An-Najah National University invested 24,700 shekels in a practical initiative to enhance the educational environment and improve the lives of students in marginalized areas during the 2024 - 2025 academic year. This was achieved by installing four iron canopies in four public schools in Nablus: Al-Quds Mixed School, Al-Hajj Ma’zooz Al-Masri School for Girls, Al-Salahiya Secondary School for Girls, and Al-Nizamiya Basic School for Girls.
These initiatives were carried out in cooperation with the Multaqa Al-Khair Committee, with two main objectives: first, to provide safe and healthy spaces that protect students from summer heat waves and winter rain, and second, to create interactive areas outside the classroom that promote educational activities and social interaction.
The project benefited 1,207 students in areas that are among the least advantaged in terms of social services and psychological support, given the challenging economic and security conditions faced by students and their families.
The Community Service Center emphasized that this effort aligns with An-Najah National University’s vision to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in supporting quality education, reducing poverty, and promoting social justice through equitable access to essential services
