Ten olive trees were planted in the gardens of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Secondary School for Boys in Nablus as part of the afforestation campaign led by An-Najah National University and implemented by the CSC.
Students participated in cleaning the school yards and gardens, and they attended an awareness session where they learned about the importance of planting and the symbolic value of the olive tree in strengthening environmental awareness and connection to the land.
The campaign aims to encourage students to take an interest in planting and to instill positive environmental values by introducing fruit-bearing and forestry species that can be used in the future to support food and environmental security.
An-Najah National University emphasized that these initiatives reflect its vision to promote green agriculture and spread the culture of afforestation in educational institutions as well as in public and private facilities. These efforts contribute to environmental protection and community service and align with sustainable development goals.
